Book is in excellent condition with light spot or so on front and minimal wear to extremities of spine. Title on cover distinctly done in gilt. Former name stamp and two-line inscription above name stamp. Otherwise unmarked throughout. Author was then President of Wheaton College. Five primary sections in book: 1. Clearing away the brush, 2. Freemasonry, the Keystone of the Arch, 3. Related and Subsidiary Organizations, 4. Concluding Chapters, and 5. Appendix. A documented and startling expose' of secret orders. Has picture of Blanchard in frontispiece. There are pictures of Wendell Phillips, D. L. Moody, Charles G. Finney, E. B. Stewart, A. J. Gordon, John Milton Hitchcock, and others throughout the book. The advertisement section is a prize, listing many volumes dealing with the subject of secret orders. A vital volume for the serious student of freemasonry as it opposes Christianity.
