Description:

pp: 669; 646. Half brown polished leather with raised spine bands and gilt stamped lettering and decoration. Paper over covers shows light wear along edges, as well as very light surface rubbing, and a small smudge on the top cover of Volume II. Leather remains bright and clean, though there is a half inch cut in the leather on Vol. I, just barely affecting the "T" in the author's name. Vol. II shows a couple light scuffs near heel. There is a small inked number just inside the front cover, though both volumes are otherwise free of any markings, book plates, etc. Slight age toning to edges of end leaves. Volume remains tight and attractive. Bookseller Inventory # 033176
