The Moon Is Down
120 pages. Goldstone and Payne, A16c. First edition (first printing). A very good terra cotta cloth copy in a very good dust jacket. This is the unrecorded second issue jacket, in dark orange, with white lettering. The back panel lists eight titles, including this one. The price on the front flap is a san-serif font, with the baseline justified (the first issue jacket has the top of the 5 and the s justified). This copy is has an ownership inscription dated July 4, 1942. The book spine is wholly unfaded and there is a shadow of the title on front front board. It seems highly unlikely that this jacket was married to the book, or if it was, it happened quite close to 1942. Bookseller Inventory # 132848
