Signed. First Edition. Knopf 1964. First edition, first printing. With a post card laid in from Anne Tyler to the previous owner in which she says she will sign the book if he mails it to her, and gives her address in Baltimore. Card is signed "Best wishes, Anne Tyler" and is in her neat precise hand. Card is postmarked June 1991. Cloth spine over green paper covered boards. Book is very good with some rubbing to gilt spine titles. Book has two original dust jackets, one complete with original price, the other is clipped at all four corners. Jackets are very good with usual edgewear, and in mylar protectors and have photo of Tyler on rear. Author's first book. Though not marked, from the collection of Mel Waggoner, host of the public radio program "Profiles" which interviewed authors. Bookseller Inventory # mon0000102032
