Exhibits some minor edgewear but no significant chips or tears. 8pp.folded.***Grass Valley & Nevada City daily newspaper(except Monday) with headline on front page: 'Idaho-Maryland Passes to New Owners.' Subheading reads: Famous Properties Which Produced $23,000,000 in Former Days to be Re-Opened. The article states in first paragraph that the Maryland Gold Quartz Mining Company announced that the majority of stock had been transferred and that management had passed from the Dorsey estate into new hands. Article is lengthy and rich in historic mining details. This issue includes other local mining news, World War I articles including local men killed in the war, French Corral school news, Bierwagen name change, flag dedication at Gold Flat and more local tidbits. Advertisements for area goods and services abound including Alpha Hardware; J.A. Bennetts Shoe Store; Nevada County Bank; National Market on Broad Street; Grass Valley Creamery; Celio's Plaza Grocery; Grass Valley Junk Company and more. Also includes classified ads; 'professional cards'; Editorial & feature page. Type is a bit faded in places but quite readable.
