Step-by-step, stitch-by-stitch descriptions with 110 charted mosaic patterns with large-scale black-and-white charts, each with an accompanying knitted sample of the design. 90 charted band or border patterns, plus 65 shadow patterns. Each shadow mosaic design consists of a black motif upside down, interlocking with and alternating with the same motif in white, right side up. A section is included on designing with mosaic patterns, beginning with simple, straight-strip projects such as rugs, afghans, stole and more. Other projects discussed are: Bias-Knit Reversible Sweaters; Tabards and Neckties; Handbags; Place Mats; Banded Skirt; Counterchange Designs; and projects using Basketweave Knitting.
