About this Item

Large Octavo. 494p. index. The Mosquito was viewed as the non-conformist among aircraft of World War II. Conceived by de Havilland and his team to be a bomber and reconnaissance aeroplane flying faster than contemporary fighters, it had no need for defensive armament. A very well researched and produced book with data on every aspect of construction, design, folding charts, and everything that shows why it made its mark in the air war in the period 1939-1945. Bound in red cloth, spine lettering silver, a near fine copy in unclipped very good pictorial dust jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 015100
