About this title

Synopsis:

In this second novel in the Mrs. Bundle Mystery Series, it appears that Detective Lettie Bundle may have bitten off much more than she can chew! With the historic Pillson Public Library's problems at crisis level and while she is in the midst of planning Pillson's most monumental fundraiser event ever, Mrs. Bundle is thrown into a murder scene "feet first." Add into the mix the hottest summer in Vermont on record, a sad misfit who desperately needs her help, and a most unusual discovery---all requiring all of her time and resources. With every challenge taking on a life of its own, it's up to Mrs. Bundle, Cracker, and Angie to solve it all. Did we mention deadly arson, too....?

About the Author:

Allison Cesario Paton, author of the Mrs. Bundle Mystery Books, grew up in Vermont and has deep respect and love for Vermont, its rich history, and its people. She enjoys their unique views on life and the rest of the world. Allison and her husband, John, a native Vermonter, divide their time between Scarborough, Maine and southern Vermont, where they thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of rehabbing an 1830’s brick cottage. Her sojourn into the creative genre of mystery fiction began in early 2001 when she first created the "little world" of Mrs. Bundle and North Pillson Corners, a place that intertwines two families and their exploits and is rich with strong female protagonists, tradition, danger, local color, and intrigue. She wanted her stories to be universal in appeal; her readers include every age group from young women to those people “of a mature age.” She also uses real towns, landmarks, buildings, stores, topography and events to tell each story, all set in a village modeled after the real Vermont villages that inspired her.
