Dedicated to "Mynheer Theodore Roosevelt a lineal descendant of Mynheer Claus Martenszen van Rosenvelt who (Claes not Theodore) came from Holland to New York (then New Amsterdam) in 1649." This book is described by the author as an "imaginative sketch . . .that may lead to a better realization of the charm which weaves itself around the old Albany and Helderberg Dutchmen - the original discoverers, the pioneers, the starters of what is now the great Empire State of New York." Color pictorial paper over boards, unpaginated (30 pp.), illustrations by Robert Sheridan, includes some photographs of what was then "present-day Albany," as well as several views of the Helderberg mountains; most of the book is in rhyme, but the last five pages are in prose. There is some wear at corners & spine ends, light soil on covers, three small spots of paper lost on back cover. Illustrator: Sheridan, Robert. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 1 lb 0 oz.
