Red crushed half morocco binding with marbled boards, gilt lettering on spines, 5 raised bands, top edge of text block gilt, marbled end papers. Condition of the book is VERY GOOD: light wear and light soiling to covers and spine, spine darkened, light foxing to edges of text block, pages clean, binding very tight, small book plate of David B. Ogden on inside of front cover. Vol. 2- small nick to spine, edges of text block more heavily foxed. NOTE: this volume is one several by Hugo all from the same estate, all bound identical by Brentano's (some marked as such), each volume with the work, several photographs and facsimiles, reviews, and notes- text is in French. 0.0.
