Dust jacket well rubbed, spine ends chipped with some loss at rear panel's adjacent top right corner, scuffing along flap folds with slender loss at ends, creasing at top and bottom edge of colorfully illustrated front panel, some soiling to white rear panel; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Yellow cloth spine and blue boards with light staining. Edges toned. Mild toning and soiling to front and rear endpapers which are illustrated with Titanic deck diagrams; bookseller ticket "Caravan Book Service | Books of The Sea | 170-16 84th Avenue | Jamaica 32, N.Y." affixed at front pastedown's bottom right corner. A few spots of soiling at margins of interior pages which, overall, remain clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a good+ dust jacket. With Foreword, two sections of b/w plates on unpaged leaves, ten chapters, concluding section "Facts About the Titanic," Acknowledgements, Passenger List, and Index.
