About this Item

Green hardcover binding clean square and tight with bumped corners and sun-faded spine. Back endpaper removed, 128 pages. Interior has a few smudges and wrinkles, but overall clean and bright. Strip torn away from bottom of pages 23/24 and 25/26. Only a couple of words from bottom of page 24 are missing - rest is all still present. One ink scribble on front illustrated endpaper. MacKenzie the cat, beloved pet of Captain Jupiter of the tourist boat the Marigold, is the victim of a shipwreck - pursued by hungry sharks, he makes it to an island. Miss Mary Pettifer, a passenger on the wrecked Marigold (and who strongly disliked cats), also made it to the same island. This is the story of how the learn to exist together - and also of what happend to Captain Jupiter!. Bookseller Inventory # 09229
