Edizione del 1837 di questa nota opera dello scrittore Alessandro Verri (1741-1826).Si tratta di un'opera allegorica pubblicata anonima per la prima volta nel 1792.Verri immagina un colloquio tra le ombre di illustri romani radunati attorno al sepolcro degli scipioni. L'opera è in un volume ed è completa. All'interno del volume sette incisioni a piena pagina, sei delle quali non appartenenti a questa edizione e di formato più piccolo. Sono state incollate su un foglio a sua volta rilegato nel volume. Frontespizio figurato. Iniziali del vecchio proprietario al dorso. In buone condizioni. Copertina in mezza pelle con titolo e decorazioni in oro al dorso in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. Pagine in buone condizioni con fioriture. In 16. Dim. 15,5x10,5 cm.Pp. 278+(2)+7 pl. Edition of 1837 of this famous work by the writer Alessandro Verri (1741-1826). It is an allegorical work published anonymously for the first time in 1792. Verri immaginates a meeting with spirits of important romans in the scipion's sepolchrus. The work was made up of two tomes, unfortunately we only have the first tome. Inside seven full page plates six of them don't belong to this edition and of smaller size. They have been attached to a leaf bound i the volume. Figurated title page. Initials of the former owner in the back. In good conditions. Half leather cover with golden title and decorations in the spine in good conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in good conditions. Pages are in good conditions with foxings In 16.
