Story and illustrations inspired by the music of Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky. Little Brown, and Company. Boston. 1940. FIRST EDITION THUS. 10.5" x 11.5". Unpaginated. Book is in VERY GOOD+ condition with blue glossy paper with illustration of music notes, butterflies, lady bugs and flowers intertwined with flowing music notes on staff on yellow background within blue border. Paper over 1" yellow textured cloth binding with bold black lettering. Book's spine tips, edges and corners lightly bumped and worn. Tight, bright and unmarked except tasteful book plate on page before title page. Endpapers have illustration of pixies dancing in air and around large dandelion. Dustjacket is in VERY GOOD- condition with same illustration on front cover. Jacket's corners and spine tips are bumped and worn with 1/8" chips and top spine tip has 1/2" x 1" triangular chip missing. Edges are worn with 3" repaired tear coming up front cover's bottom spine tip. Price point intact. Book is nicely preserved and protected by mylar cover. Bookseller Inventory # 006153
