Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 117 pp. Limited First Edition of 1000 copies: 1985. Very Scarce Title. Inscribed by the Author at back. The book, titled Nakamura Yoshitane: Gendai no ningen fukei (Nakamura Yoshitane: Modern Human Landscapes), contains two introductory essays in Japanese, one by Umehara Takeshi, president of Kyoto Shiritsu Geijutsu University, and another by the art critic Sakazaki Otsuro. These are followed by an English translation of Sakazaki's essay. The Color Plates have English translations for the titles, but the artist's comments on the facing pages are in Japanese. After the color plates there is an inventory of the Artist's works, in chronological order (with English translations of the titles), and a chronology of Mr. Nakamura's life, written by himself. The book also contains an inscription to Mrs. R. Schumacher. It is written in Japanese calligraphy brush and india ink, as is the artist's signature in Japanese. Not Price Clipped. A paperclip impression on top edge of ffep, else, Pristine, no wear. Clean, tight and strong binding with no underlining, highlighting or marginalia.
