After the passing of her beloved mother-in-law, her sister-in-law Margaret encouraged her to write about the family and the experiences over the past years, dealing with family, death, and family problems. Moving to southern Maryland near the water and working full-time for an ophthalmology office, Lorrie lives with her husband of twenty-seven years, Bill; one son, Phillip; a daughter, Kristin; and two dogsa basset hound and a black lab. Lorrie still writes and enjoys computers and volunteering with her daughters after-school club and many community service activities, including Relay for Life.
