Synopsis: Ma Ma Sheep looks all over the farm for Ba Lamb who has decided to go exploring on her own.
From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-K-- Ba Lamb goes trotting off without her mother in this short tale, boldly illustrated with black line and bright primary colors. Her mother (Ma Ma Sheep; no points here for original names) goes about the farm asking the other animals if they have seen her little lamb. Children will be quick to point out Ba Lamb, who is present on every page but evidently out of Ma Ma Sheep's sight. Ba Lamb eventually comes out of hiding and is "a good lamb all the way home." The book ends with the line, "She could be naughty another day," a statement with which all children will identify. Wells' illustrations resemble those young children might draw: comically wiggly and very simple. This repetitive story with familiar farm animals isn't a distinguished entry, but it could be useful in toddler collections. --Joanna G. Jones, formerly at Hunterdon County Library, Flemington, NJ
