No jacket. 231 pp. A detailed analysis of the strategy of the German Navy during World War I, studying submarine, or U-boat use, general strategies and tactics, etc. Wegener was a German naval officer during World War I, gaining notice for his critique of German sea warfare strategy that pointed out the futility of winning naval battles when the Germans could not control sea lanes and maritime communication lines.
