About this Item

Naxalite challenges and revolutionary violence. Bibliography. Today Naxalites have a presence in almost half of India while they have turned into a political force to be reckoned with in some of the poorer, tribal concentrated, forest and natural resource rich states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The Naxalities Naxals of Naksalvadis are Maoist communist group in India, leaders of the Naxalite maoist insurgency. Their name comes from the village of Naxalbari in the Indian state of West Bengal where the movement originated and the group are far left radical communists supportive of Maoist political sentiment and ideology. Insurgency is organized armed rebellion by non-state players either for overthrowing the legally constituted state or secede or establish free zones by paralyzing the state machineries and by establishing total Mass Control on the populace and destroying legally constituted and mandated Mass control mechanism of the state. This book concludes that the only way to bring about a lasting peace and prevent more Naxalist insurgencies rising up in the future is to build a state that attends equally to the interests.
