Internally generally very clean with only minimal markings/ foxing. Each volume has full colour plates as well as many fine b\w plates and illustrations. Binding of volume 2 is a little loose. Generally very good and bright boards with one or two marks (mostly to volume 2). The Bianco Library website has 3 pictures of this book including both medium and large images.
