Original tan wrapper with black lettering and a black and white illustration of Sir Joseph Banks on the front cover. Black cloth binding. 8 1/4 X 10 3/4 inches. 113 pages. This mimeographed copy was published in a small edition. Banks (1743-1820) was an English naturalist, botanist and patron of natural sciences. From the title page, "Sutro Branch, California State Library, Occasional Papers. Manuscript Series No. 3." Back cover is slightly torn on the edge, approx 1 inch. Pages are very clean and complete.
