A chronicle of a sailing trip around the world, documenting the lives and cultures of various places, including countries on the Mediterranean, Egypt, the Near East, India, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, etc. With a chapter on the construction and opening of the Suez Canal. GOOD condition. Moderate scuffing and fading to the covers. Minor to moderate soiling with a few small stains to the rear cover. Boards very worn along the extremities with some loss to the paper at the corners. Interior hinges weak but holding. Text block solid. Small ownership stamp present on the second front endpaper.
