About this Item

Entire issue, Volume III, No. 1, January 12, 1939, in original pictorial wraps, damp staining noted inside front cover, faded water staining at bottom of first 25 pages, very center pages detached but laid in, moderate general wear, a bit more along spine edge, ink tracing noted among the bold yellow letters K-E-N at front cover; front cover presents as bright and clean. In this, the final and most elusive of the author's 14 contributions to Ken, the author continues to challenge the British policy of appeasement in addressing the fascist threat of Hitler. From the text, "Hitler will snarl while Chamberlain purrs while Musso blackmails France to make the next act of the tragi-comedy of appeasement.". Bookseller Inventory # 013794
