About this Item

190 p. 21 cm. Sound and square binding. Blue cloth-covered boards. Two bottom fore-corners lightly bumped. All corners have a bit of rubbing. Text block edges a bit dusty. No previous ownership marks. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. This book was issued (in error) with two dustjackets, both the same. I will ship both. The outer one is faded, and has some edge and corner wear, one short tear and some soiling. The inside one is very good plus or better. It does have one tiny tear on the rear bottom corner and a bit of crinkling along the bottom rear edge. The top edge has very slight wear and darkening. The colours, having been protected, are as issued, with no fading. Both of the dustjackets are price-clipped. Pen and ink drawing illustrations by Enrico Arno. A beloved children's book by American writer Sesyle Joslin. It tells the story of Victoria, in pursuit of robbers who stole the letters of the alphabet from her bedroom wallpaper. Wonderlandish events transpire as she tries to recover her letters. Bookseller Inventory # 687
