xvi+390 pages. Very good in blue cloth-covered boards with an elaborate cover illustrations stamped in dark blue and gilt. The spine is also stamped in gilt and the rear board is stamped in dark blue. Rear hinge is starting and wear at the tips. Two large foldout maps (one in color) and a foldout large color engraving of the "Procession of Courtesans". Full-page color and black-and-white illustrations throughout.
