The house has been restored largely with family items to reflect its appearance just before he went to fight in the Civil War. The barn and workshop have also been repaired with a functioning blacksmith forge and the property is being developed as a working farm, with walking trails including a right of way for the old narrow-gauge railroad line that once linked Bridgton to the outside world.
