Pamphlet. 8 pp. A short work reporting on the finances, transactions and publishing efforts of the New York Bible Society. Perhaps notable as being printed by Daniel Fanshaw, the first printer for the American Bible Society who bought the first steam press in New York (in 1826). Fanshaw was initially backed by the type founder George Bruce and saw success as a result of his use of the then new technologies of the steam press, stereotype printing, and the composition ink rolling process (Marble Cemetery website). GOOD condition. Several creases and wrinkles present, with minor foxing and toning to the paper. Previous owner's signature at the upper front page. Unopened along the top edge.
