First edition. Blue cloth in unclipped jacket. 267 pp. A few black and white illustrations throughout, by Paul Quinn. An adventure tale for a juvenile audience, recounting a boy's exploits sailing to the Arctic and hunting for seals, getting shipwrecked in the process. Thames Williamson was an American author, Harvard educated, and a teacher at Simmons, as well as spending time as a sailor, circus hand, prison officer and other occupations (Oxford Index). GOOD condition. General toning, some scuffing and minor soiling to the jacket. Heavy bumping, creasing, chipping and fraying along the extremities, with several small tears.
