Stern, "Imprints on History," p.194. Thomson was offered $1 per line by Carleton for this parody of "Nothing to Wear." The company profited immensely forom this effort and it turned the company toward the publication of American humor. Tipped onto front end papers is the publisher's tissue paper ad for an illustrated book of travels, "Roumania" by James O. Noyes, M.D. This ad is found only in some copies, according to BAL. Seven copies noted by BAL . Behind half-title is publisher's ad for Doesticks' books. Foxing. Slight fading of spine and edges. Else Very Good. Bookseller Inventory # 8378
