Dahuron was the gardener to Georg Wilhelm, the Duke of Brunswick at Luneberg, responsible for designing pleasure and vegetable gardens for the estate. In 1701, he became royal gardener to Frederick Wilhelm I, King of Prussia, in Potsdam. According to the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, this is "a rare little work, not listed in any of the larger botanical collections so far as we can find." In the original vellum binding.
