Shallow chipping to base of spine, but a lovely copy.$275.00 Handsomely bound legal commentary by Daniel Jousse (1704-81) on three laws: Vol. I concerns a law of August 1669 and an edict of March 1673 dealing with the payment of judges, (epice being an old French legal term for the salaries or fees paid to judges). These laws were passed to ensure that judges were being properly paid_and to prevent them from taking unlawful payments.
