Octavo. xxiv, 227pp. Bound in the original publisher's light purple quarter cloth and plain paper boards, with a printed paper spine label. Contemporary ownership signature of Gideon Lathrop (a steamboat captain on Lake Champlain and the Hudson River) on the title page. Fading to the cloth spine, chipping to the top of the paper spine label, scattered foxing, very good. A scarce, untrimmed copy in original boards.
