About this Item

24 p., Brown leather-look embossed stiff paper cover, string tie, tissue endpapers, fine quality photographs, attractive decorations. This yearbook of a private (pre-college) school for girls is enhanced by signatures and messages handwritten throughout. A full page is devoted to each of the five graduating seniors; these include a graduation photo and a baby picture, a list of their school activities, and items such as "best feature" or "probably will be." There are class photos of the seventh and eighth graders and freshman, sophomore, and junior classes with a little blurb on each and a list of the class officers; messages to the graduates from alumnae; and other material. The principal, Mr. Moore, and the class adviser, Miss Nina Nelson, also are pictured. Ruth Wiggington was editor-in-chief and the rest of the editorial staff is listed. This book belonged to Garritta E. and the messages within the book are written to her. The last page has original signatures of the "List of Friends Assisting in Publication." Fine.
