About this title

Synopsis:

Presents healthy, flavorful recipes that emphasize moderation in the use of rich ingredients, detailing how to convert recipes into healthier versions, introducing calorie banking and other diet strategies, and offering nutritional breakdowns for each recipe

From Publishers Weekly:

"This book is the result of one woman's lifelong battle with her hips." Brown's "five to six meals a day" as food editor of USA Today eventually caused her to fight back--she became "a walking calorie calculator" and furious foe of salt who was nevertheless hard put to content her "rather jaded palate" with dull and dispiriting "health" chow. So, in 1987, she founded the Gourmet Gazelle, a carry-out food shop on Manhattan's Upper East Side, to wage war on a larger scale. Her low-calorie, -fat, -cholesterol, -sodium dishes, though not presented with a dieting readers in mind, will aid and abet them, while her grandmotherly kitchen hints and international range (Caribbean grouper, Asian chicken salad) should please most tastes.

Terms of Sale:

Private merchant account, no taxes on sales and a standard shipping fee in accordance to rates.

Shipping Terms:

U.S. Shipping:
We ship our books according to media rate through the US Postal Services. This is the cheapest way for us to ship you your books. We will contact you if shipping will cost more than the listed price. Please note that heavier and larger-sized books will cost more to ship as the general shipping cost is used for average-weight/sized books. If you would like your book insured, specifically packed or delivered faster it will cost more and you will need to contact us.

All our packages are wrapped in foam, bubble wrap, peanuts or a combination thereof.

International Shipping:
As a standard for shipping, we ship all our books in a Global Priority Flat Rate mailer envelope. This costs just a couple bucks more than ground and will get there in 4 to 10 business days instead of the one to two months it would for Ground. Priority in a box costs a bit more (about 17.50,) but has that added bit of protection. We're more than happy to ship Ground for $9.00 or Express for $30.00. Let us know what you prefer if the option isn't listed.

All our packages are wrapped in foam, bubble wrap, peanuts or a combination thereof.
