About this Item

Folio, 20 x 16 inches. Gorman's classicist nude photos complement Goins's new translation of Pindar's celebration of athletes and their beauty. Text composed in Monotype Walbaum by Michael and Winifred Bixler. The typography and letterpress printing on Arches papers are by Michael Russem at Kat Ran Press. The 10 tipped-in platinum prints were printed by Martin Axon. Bound in Japanese cloth, handmade paper, and foil with matching clamshell case, by Mark Tomlinson and Lisa Van Pelt. One additional separate platinum print accompanies the book (for a total of 11 prints). One of an edition of 53 copies, signed by Goins, Gorman, and Wood.
