About the Author:

After not starting a single game and being on the field for less than twenty total plays throughout his high school career, Clarence Moniba later became the only player from his high school senior class to earn a scholarship to a Division I (FBS) University. Before signing a Letter of Intent though, he played for Glendale Community College in Arizona, where, in the first game of his sophomore season, he tore the ACL in his left knee and had to go on his recruiting trips on crutches, making it necessary to implement many of the steps outlined throughout the book.
Moniba began his college football and writing career in 1998, receiving the title of "Sports-writer of the Year" for Arizona's Maricopa County School District. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications, while also playing football at New Mexico State University. He went on to play three seasons in the Arena League in North Carolina and New York, as well as perform football action stunts in the blockbuster movies, Radio, Invincible and We Are Marshall. Clarence then returned to graduate school and earned a Masters in Political Science. He has written several articles for international newspapers and has worked at the United Nations in New York, as well as the Liberian Embassy in Washington D.C.
Clarence is currently working on his PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communications and continues to work with high school and junior college athletes in their efforts to earn athletic scholarships.
