Books are crisp and clean, with tight binding and sharp corners. Volume III has a clipped (by a third) half-title page. Volumes II and III have map endpapers. Endpapers of Volume I are plain white. Price intact on flaps of Volumes I and III. Volume II has no price printed on flap. All three volumes have folding maps, sketches, and illustrations. Volume 1 also has photos. Jackets on all three are very good to fine: Volume III has a chip on the front and is lightly sunned. In detailing Canada's involvement in World War II, the books relied on Canadian, Allied, and enemy records.
