GRANT, OF THE OPERATIONS OF THE UNION ARMY, FROM MARCH, 1862 TO THE CLOSE OF THE REBELLION. OFFICIAL COPY-COMPLETE. The date of his appointment to command has been neatly corrected with pen and brown ink on the cover and on page 7 to March 2, 1864. Binding threads are pulling loose. 4 pages of ads follow p.87. Lacking back paper wrapper cover. Some raggedness on last detached page. ( Note misspelling of Ulysses on cover.) Some chipping and light foxing. Despite the title, the Report begins "from the date of [Grant's] appointment to command the operations of the armies of the United States." Grant's appointment occurred in 1864.
