Lacks dust jacket other than torn and creased rear flap which is now laid-in at rear endpapers. Aquamarine cloth lightly rubbed, mild color fading to spine, some wear and bumping to board corners with soiling at front board's lower fore-edge corner. Light soiling and toning to edge; past owner's pencil signature at top of front free endpaper with "cv" handwritten in ink at ffep's bottom right; several initial leaves creased at their bottom fore-edge corners; light soiling to rear free endpaper verso; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. A very good- copy. With "Tour Key Map" on front endpapers and large foldout map inserted within rear pastedown pocket as well as seventeen b/w maps amongst text. Sponsored by The Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society. Foreword by Governor John W. Bricker; Preface by State Director Harlan Hatcher. numerous b/w plates (including seventeen images by Ben Shahn) in eight sections of unpaged leaves; concluding Appendices section contains Chronology, Bibliography, and Index.
