About this Item

Signed first edition hardcover with dust jacket; tan boards with metallic copper lettering on the spine. The author's signature in in blue marker on the ffep. The hinges and binding are firm. There is foxing to the inside front and back boards and to the top outside page edges. The 188 pages are clean and unmarked. The mylar-protected dust jacket has a light water stain measuring 3" X 1 & 1/2" on the spine. There is some light foxing on the back cover and a small open tear on the front cover. This novel is about politicking in old Montana in the early 1900's. It was a time when politicians favored high living, fancy clothes and campaigning was obviously more fun than it is now. Wealthy H.B. has sent his son on the campaign trail to manage his election to the U.S. Senate with a suitcase of money. A rollicking adventure devoid of high moral purpose. A very presentable copy of a fun read. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 001479
