Complete in two volumes. Full black calf leather bindings. Diced boards with blind tooled border. Spines with blind and gilt ruled compartments with blind decoration. Blind decorated board edges and turn-ins. Red speckled page edges, marbled endpapers. Very slight rubbing to spines. Ink stain to outer page edge of Volume I. Excellent solid bindings with no cracking to joints. Foxing to leading and trailing blanks. A few occasional patches of foxing to text but otherwise very clean throughout. Two previous owner bookplates to front pastedown endpaper in each volumes: 'S. Lewis. Jun. Chigwell' and 'Elizabeth Evans'. Below these is a small shelf number label. Signed by Elizabeth Evans to leading blank and upper margin of title page in both volumes. Overall condition is Very Good.
