Vellum backed gray boards. The author's own copy of his first book This copy consists of: On front pastedown: "John G. Jury--Personal Copy." On second blank: Autograph letter signed to "Florence" from Jury. On Sequoia Club, San Francisco, stationery. Undated. An interesting letter in which he hopes that their "friendship" can develop. Two pages (front and back). On half title page: Photograph of Jury, sitting with arms folded, in front of what appears to be a manuscript. Several additions, corrections and significant changes to the poems throughout the text. John George Jury was born in Houghton, Michigan in 1866 and came to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was an attorney, in 1885. Bookseller Inventory # 8613
