Penned by David Vedder (1790-1854), an Orkney-based poet, translator and essayist who also served as captain of a number of ships. He edited the Edinburgh Literary Gazette.Rebacked, with the original cloth preserved.A very scarce antique copy of this collection of poetry, which was inspired by the author's childhood spent on Orkney. In a full cloth binding; rebacked with the original cloth and spine laid down. Externally generally smart with a little bumping to the extremities, cloth is a touch discoloured. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are uncut and bright and clean. Very Good.
