Stated Publication number 7, presumably from the Massachusetts Diocesan Library. Brown printed wraps. 40 pages, including bibliography. With a few illustrations. A short, but detailed history of the organs used at Christ Church in Boston from 1736 to 1945, with an account of their builders. With excerpts from primary sources that give costs, estimates on labor, donors, etc. as well as accounts of types of material used and the styles of organs. Organ builders include William Goodrich, Thomas Johnston and others. The second part of the work provides short biographies of various organists at the church, including Stephen Deblois, William Price, John Cutler and others. VERY GOOD condition.
