Original autographed letter signed by Robert Lowe. 4 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches. 1 page. Circa 1868-1873. Lowe (1811-1892) was a British statesman and a key figure who shaped British politics. Lowe was Chancellor of the Exchequer during 1868-1873. This letter is written on Parliament stationery with the address of "11 Downing Street, Whitehall" in the upper right corner. This hand written letter to a Mrs. Jones is an apology from Lowe regarding a trip to Scotland that he is unable to make. Letter has been folded. Letter is clean. Bookseller Inventory # 018446
