Original autographed letters signed by J.H. Harper. Dated January 1874. 2 pages. 5 X 8 inches on Harper and Brother Memorandum stationary. J.H. Harper (1850-1936) was among the second generation of the Harper family that founded and operated Harper and Brothers Publishing. J.H. Harper was the author of "The House Of Harper" (1912) and "I Remember" (1934). Both of these letters are to Ed. Seymour, Harper's cousin and both are in regards to tickets to "Nast's Lecture" (Cartoonist Thomas Nast, 1840-1902). Harper has blocks of tickets to sell and he wants Seymour to sell them. Faintly written on both letters are numbers in blue pencil. Both letters are clean. Bookseller Inventory # 018371
