From back of photo :" Photographic negative Brady's". 3/4 length, subject is seated at a desk with left arm holding book and resting on desk. Lord John Russell, 1st Earl Russell (1792-1878) was a Whig and Liberal statesman and 2 time Prime Minister of Great Britain. He was the leader of the Whig party in Parliament from 1834-1841.
