About this Item

Letter, on Popular Publications letterhead, dated December 17, 1942, to Forrest Ackerman, then stationed at Fort MacArthur. She discusses her search for novels to publish in FFM, states she likes "The Ghost Pirates" by Hodgson but can't locate any relatives or estate to buy it from. She then states she is using "The Iron Star" in the June issue; next, Unger suggests "Mukara" by Bruce, Koenig suggests "The Revolt of the Birds" By Post, also "The House of Sounds" from The Pale Ape by Shiel, asks Ackerman what he thinks of these, and requests other suggestions. She states she has his photo in her office, states how her office is a "swell place - the people, very companionable." Etc. and closes with her best wishes etc. An informative and friendly letter.
