About this Item

Original 16 page typewritten manuscript with corrections throughout in BlochÕs hand. Written specifically for the book, Lord John Ten, a tenth anniversary celebration of the Lord John Press. Accompanied by the long galley proofs sent to Bloch for correction with a note on the front page from the Lord John PressÕs publisher Herb Yellin: ÒBob: Please look this over, Thanks, Herb,Ó next to which Bloch has written: ÒLooks very good! Two minor word-changes - thatÕs it. R.B.Ó BlochÕs two handwritten corrections are present in the proof. Accompanied by a first edition copy in dust jacket of the finished book. The manuscript is a fascinating essay dealing with BlochÕs obsession with horror films in which he discusses such films as The Bat, The Gorilla, The Cat and the Canary, The Invisible Man, The Wolf Man, Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Nosferatu, Night of the Living Dead, The Shining, King Kong, The Mystery of the Wax Museum, Halloween, Alien, etc. Bookseller Inventory # 14963J
