Original carte-de-visite with an image 2 x 3 1/2 inches on red-ruled card stock of 2 3/4 x 4 inches. Printed identification of "Prof. Dr. Stockl" at bottom of photo. Sotckl (b. 1823 Mohren, Middle Franconia, Bavaria; d. 1895 Eichstadt) was a Catholic priest, philosopher, theologian and author.
